Guidelines for Parents

    1. Parents are requested to read the contents of the School Almanac carefully in the interest of the child and abide by the rules and regulations laid down by the school. Kindly check your ward’s almanac daily.
    1. Whenever you communicate with the school, kindly quote the full name, class and section of your ward. All communications should be addressed to the Principal. Parents are requested to inform the school immediately if there is any change in address or telephone number.
    1. Parents should carry out their responsibilities as joint educators in instilling in their children respect and strict obedience for all school rules and regulations.
    1. Parents are requested to drop their ward latest by 8:00 am in summers and 8:30 am in winters. School gates will be closed at 8:10 am & 8:40 am respectively. Regular late comers will be sent back home.
    1. Parents are requested to send all the required material asked by the school in the morning with their ward. Phone calls during the school hours for the same will not be entertained.
    1. Apart from the training given by the school, students are expected to devote some time regularly at home. Supervision of the same should be arranged. Any problem relating to home work should be recorded in the note books/school almanac by the parents.
    1. Parents are requested to fix important appointments such as, with the doctor/any other after school hours or on holidays.
    1. No student will be allowed to leave the school during school hours, unless permission is granted in writing by the Principal.
    1. Please do not give a mobile phone to your child. If any student is found carrying a mobile phone, it will be confiscated and a heavy fine will be imposed.
    1. Parents are requested to put their mobile phones on silent mode as soon as they enter the school premises.
    1. The facility of internet is required by the students to do their homework and project work. As a parent, you are required to monitor the usage of internet by your ward so that he/she does not misuse the internet access. Also, keep the computer in a central family location, not in the child’s room. The usage of computer should be a family activity.
    1. Encourage your ward to take a balanced interest in studies, co-curricular activities and sports.
    1. Parents are requested to sign the reports, test papers, teacher’s remarks in the note books, school almanac and other similar documents so that they may keep in close touch with the progress of their child. Parents are also expected to visit the teachers whenever called or on PTMs.
    1. Regular meetings give an opportunity to the parents and teachers to discuss the progress of the child. It is also compulsory for the parents to meet the class teacher on the result declaration day.
    1. Rules and regulations printed in the almanac are not static and can be altered at any time at the sole discretion of the management.
    1. Kindly ensure that your ward carries school books, exercise books according to the time table for that day.
    1. Please do not send your child to school if he/she is feeling unwell. A proper leave application must be submitted in writing by the parents to the Principal in case of absence. This should be supported by a medical certificate in case of sick leave for more than three consecutive days.
    1. Gate passes/early dispersal will strictly not be allowed for any reason on days of unit Test, Competitions and Examinations,
    1. Criticism of a teacher of the school in the presence of a child must be scrupulously avoided as it causes students to lose respect for their teacher with the consequent failure to learn respect for their teacher with the consequent failure to learn from her, thus retarding the child’s progress.
    1. As the medium of instruction in our school is English, students should be helped with regularEnglish conversation practice at home so that they could keep pace with the class.
    1. Plan future education of your ward(s) beyond the school in good time, so that they may be eligible to compete for admission to the maximum number of institutions for higher education.
    1. Any recent change in behavior of your child such as staying aloof or hiding facts should be brought to the notice of the teachers as it may indicate a stressful state.
    1. Parents should spend quality time with kids and promote their interaction with peers to help them develop emotionally.
    1. Inculcate habit of meditation among children from a young age.
    1. The wards to be taken by parent only or the guardian whose names are mentioned in the diary.
    1. Parents must attend open house meetings with respective class teachers to acquaint themselves with the progress/achievement of their wards.
