Library Decorum Rules

  1. All students have to maintain discipline and silence in the library.
  2. All students are supposed to take care of the library books and ensure that they are always in good condition.
  3. Once the book is issued for home, it has to be returned within 7 days or re-issued. Otherwise, a fine of ₹5 per day will be charged.
  4. The books picked up by the students have to be kept back at their allotted place in the respective shelves.
  5. At the time of leaving the school a student has to return the library books and get a clearance from the librarian.
  6. In case of urgent requirement of books, the student has to get the written permission from the teacher in class.
  7. Library books must be deposited at least one week prior to the final exams.
  8. Students are not allowed to bring their personal books into the library.
  9. Students are not allowed to do their homework/classwork in the library.
  10. Eating is strictly prohibited in the library.
  11. Unless the previously issued book is returned, students will not be eligible for a fresh issue.
  12. Books will not be issued during any unit test/summative assessment.
  13. Books marked, disfigured, damaged or lost while in their possession will have to be replaced by the borrower, failing which their parents will be billed twice the cost of a replacement.
